Indigenous Plants and Native Uses in the Northeast

Look at the plants growing around you:

A large tamarack (Larix laricina) tree plantation is evident on the nearby hill, with the tell-tale covering of last years bleached light-colored needles, and in winter the pine trees have bare branches after the needles fall.

Note: the Parks & Recreation Dept. insists that no plants are disturbed at the Park.
