Indigenous Plants and Native Uses in the Northeast

Look at the plants growing around you:


Along Schoolhouse Brook at the base of a steep slope you will probably see the glorious blosoms of pink lady's slipper (Cypripedium pubescens) and the three-petaled red trillium (Trillium erectum). You will also see a few American beech (Fagus grandifolia) trees.

Note: the Parks & Recreation Dept. insists that no plants are disturbed at the Park.
