Indigenous Plants and Native Uses in the Northeast

Look at the plants growing around you:

In mid-summer, dotting the water of Barrows Pond you can see a sea of blue flowers from the waterbound pickerel weed (Pontedaria cordata). A few water lilies (Yellow - Nuphar advena / White - Nymphaea alba) also dot the water's surface.

Note: the Parks & Recreation Dept. insists that no plants are disturbed at the Park.
