Pemmican and Prairie Turnips

Ingredients
- 1-2lbs pemmican
- 2 quarts cleaned and chunked turnips
- 2-3 tsp salt
- crushed red pepper seeds-optional
|
Directions
Cut pemmican into half inch chunks, put in kettle with salt, peppers, and water to cover, bring to a simmer, when bubbling add turnips cook until softened, 15 mins or so,
eat with fry bread,
can vary by adding beans for a couple hours before adding turnips,
