- assorted cleaned bones from deer, or what ever animal you have.lard or fat from animal.
- ramps or onions. salt, a tablespoon honey, 1/2 cup dried cranberries, 1 cup dried squash,
- 2 cups corn cut off cob.a cup of wild rice, mushrooms if you like them, a pint of greens fresh or canned.
place bones and about a quarter cup of fat in large roaster and cover, place in hot oven for about an hour or til good and brown but not burned, pour enough water over bones to cover, add about 1 handful cut up ramps or onions, salt to taste, the honey and the cranberries, wild rice and mushrooms, turn down the heat to about 350 and roast another hour, take out the bones make sure all the marrow is out of them..and then add the corn and squash, cover and cook a half hour, stir in the greens, cover and let sit for about a half hour. you can season what ever way you like . good w/any toasted bread.
Note: this soup will give you strength, good for anybody. but rich people may not like it.
